Events and Activities, STEM competitions

Last Wednesday evening, the St Kevin's community had a fantastic evening. The atmosphere was amazing!!! And so were the Food Trucks! Thanks Gab and the F.A.C.E committee for organising these.

A very big thank you to everybody involved in the night, staff, students, parents & guests. It was such a success, the students haven't stopped talking about it. Our Year 4 & 5 businesses and the Year 6 STEM MAD projects were buzzing with activity for most of the evening and the students experienced a real life learning experience from the curriculum they had been learning so a big congratulations to them.

We had special guests Cran Middlecoat from Rocket Science Adventures launching rockets in the tennis court and Daniel Rodger an engineer presenting a display of a wave in a tank. The students were very excited participating in these activities. A very big thank you to these two gentleman.

Microbits and Ozobots interactive activities were a blast with the children and even the parents got to learn a new trick or two with IT. Also, special guests, Mary Mackillop College came to show and interact with our students with some exciting STEM activities. A big thank you to them for coming and sharing our evening with us.

The wonderful Glowing in the Dark underwater Art display created by the children was spectacular!!

Lastly, a very big thank you needs to go to our DJ Rob! The disco was a huge hit with the kids. The music, lights with glow sticks and glowing in the dark faces was a lot of fun. Thank you for making the event even better with your high energy and sense of fun for all age groups.
