Enrolling at St Kevin's

St Kevin’s is a vibrant and inclusive Catholic co‑educational community, proudly offering enrolments from Prep through to Year 6.

With approximately 400 students, our school is small enough for every child to feel known and valued, yet large enough to offer rich learning opportunities. Each year level is supported by two dedicated class groups, helping us provide strong pastoral care and personalised learning.

We warmly welcome enrolment applications for all year levels throughout the year. Families wishing to join us in Prep are encouraged to apply up to two years in advance, with applications ideally submitted by the end of March in the year prior to starting.

At St Kevin’s, we understand that choosing the right school for your little one is an important decision. We’re proud of our strong sense of community, and we love welcoming families onto our campus to experience the spirit of St Kevin’s for themselves.

Throughout the year, we offer personalised school tours so you and your child can see our learning spaces, meet our staff, and get a feel for the caring, connected environment that makes St Kevin’s special. Tours are available by appointment and can be arranged by contacting our school office.

Procedures established by Brisbane Catholic Education will be used to assess the enrolments of children with special needs. 

  • Families must first submit an Application for Enrolment Form (see above), along with a copy of the child’s birth certificate or extract, baptismal certificate (if applicable) and any medical or specialist reports that may assist in understanding the child’s needs or circumstances regarding their development and readiness for school.
  • An enrolment interview will follow, providing an opportunity for enrolling students and parents to meet with the principal and exchange information regarding their child's enrolment in the school.
  • Families will be notified as to the outcome of the enrolment process.
  • Students transferring from another school should provide a notice of transfer and a copy of relevant progress reports.
  • Orientation for Prep and Year One entry will be organised for children and their families.

  • A signed Confirmation of Enrolment form notifies the school that parents have accepted the offer of a place in the school.
  • Upon acceptance of a place, a one-off, non-refundable fee of $100 per family will be charged. This fee reserves the enrolment for the start of the year and covers the costs of processing the application.

Application for Enrolment Online

Thank you for considering St Kevin’s Catholic Primary School for your family. We are delighted that you are exploring enrolment with us.  Please find the link below to your child’s online application for enrolment.

You will need to click on the link, enter and review the required details, complete and submit the form.

If applying for enrolment for more than one student, when the form is completed, there will be an option available to submit another enrolment for each additional student.

Once you have completed your online application you will receive an automated email to submit copies of the following supporting documents:

  • Birth certificate
  • Baptismal certificate (if baptised)
  • Latest School Report
  • Any medical or learning reports
  • and if noted on your application:
    • Legal documentation
    • Medical Action Plan
    • Student Specialist Assessments
    • Visa Information

Please note submission of an application does not guarantee an enrolment place. Enrolment applications will not be processed until all documentary requirements have been completed. Failure to complete these requirements may delay or affect the acceptance of the application.  

What Happens Next?

After lodging an Enrolment Application, parents will be invited to attend an enrolment interview. It is important that your child or children who are enrolling attend this interview.

Should your application be successful a confirmation of enrolment form will be supplied to you. Please complete this form, acknowledging school fees obligations and acceptance of school policies.   Please note your enrolment is not finished until this acceptance form is returned to the school office and deposit is paid to St Kevin’s.
