Inspired by our patron Saint Kevin and Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop, our Mission Statement guides us in helping students become the very best versions of themselves that God created them to be. Our focus on virtues education provides a strong foundation for how we live, learn and grow together, following the example of Jesus with compassion, courage and kindness. As a Catholic school, we embrace a “Head, Heart and Hands” approach, empowering students to build character through thoughtful actions and a genuine love of others.
Catering for students from Prep to Year 6, our dedicated staff are hardworking, passionate and deeply committed to excellence in learning and teaching. Through the Australian Curriculum and the Brisbane Catholic Education Religion Curriculum, we tailor learning to meet the needs of each student. Our Culture, which is grounded in the St Kevin's Guiding Lights and S.H.I.N.E. framework, encourages children to be curious, respectful and courageous learners who are not afraid to question, explore and challenge the status quo. Respectful relationships and positive behaviours are at the heart of our school culture, creating a nurturing environment where students feel safe, confident and empowered to use their voice.

We offer a range of services and opportunities to support students and their families, including access to a School Guidance Counsellor. We offer a wide range of learning opportunities that extend beyond the classroom, including Spanish, Music, Drama, Dance and Media Arts, Sport and Perceptual Motor Programs, as well as extracurricular experiences such as Speech and Drama, instrumental lessons and other external programs. Our Student Buddy System further strengthens connections across year levels and fosters a culture of care.
We are blessed with a supportive and engaged parent community that partners closely with us in the education and formation of our children. Families are encouraged to participate in the life of the school wherever possible, enriching the strong community spirit that defines St Kevin’s.
