School Welcome

Welcome from the Principalhttp://www.stkevinsgeebung.qld.edu.au/about-us/Pages/Welcome-from-the-Principal.aspxWelcome from the Principal
Welcome to St Kevin’s Primary School. As a member of Brisbane Catholic Education we value high quality, inclusive Catholic Schooling. Our school caters for students from Prep through to Year 6. We have two streams at each year level. The school offers a comprehensive and quality curriculum. St Kevin’s also provides excellent pastoral care within a Catholic environment, linking closely with the Parish and local community. We pride ourselves on offering a variety of learning experiences for our students both in and outside the classroom. We have an active Environmental Crusaders club, Robotics Club, Sport Program, Music Program and Student Buddy System. We also provide an opportunity for external lessons in speech and drama, chess and instrumental lessons. Our parent community is very active and we welcome participation from our families in the learning of our students. Welcome to St Kevin's school, the hidden gem where everyone shines!

Year 4 Mathshttp://www.stkevinsgeebung.qld.edu.au/community-news/Pages/Year-4-Maths.aspxYear 4 Maths
<span style="color:#202020;line-height:107%;font-family:"helvetica",sans-serif;font-size:9pt;">At St Kevin’s, we are striving to maintain consistency and coherence with learning whilst ensuring that our students are engaging in deep learning opportunities. Year 4 is one example of how that coherence is being demonstrated. They are aligning their visible learning questions with their learning intention, success criteria, feedback and goal setting to incorporate accountable maths talk into their problem solving, hands-on maths experiences. Phrases such as “The strategy I used was…”, “I know the answer is reasonable because…”, “I can check my answer by…”, “This is like another problem I’ve solved because…” are all contributing to enhancing student voice in learning.
