Year 4 Maths

At St Kevin’s, we are striving to maintain consistency and coherence with learning whilst ensuring that our students are engaging in deep learning opportunities. Year 4 is one example of how that coherence is being demonstrated. They are aligning their visible learning questions with their learning intention, success criteria, feedback and goal setting to incorporate accountable maths talk into their problem solving, hands-on maths experiences. Phrases such as “The strategy I used was…”, “I know the answer is reasonable because…”, “I can check my answer by…”, “This is like another problem I’ve solved because…” are all contributing to enhancing student voice in learning.
