The Learning Process

As we have introduced our five learning dispositions, we are now taking this week to incorporate the learning process into our classrooms. Our process involves wondering, creating and evaluating. We liken it to creating a story: we plan, draft, edit and then in order to publish we go through the cycle again. We also use the process when solving mathematical problems. We wonder what the best strategy is, we create a sequence that we think will work and then we evaluate the effectiveness. The best part of the learning process is that we can use it both anywhere and everywhere as we are continually learning and discovering new possibilities.
