Teddy Bear's Picnic 2017

Funds raised on this special day are donated to the Leukaemia Foundation.
We congratulate the winners of the Leukaemia Foundation colouring competition. All the students must be congratulated on the high quality of presentation and creativity. The winners in each year level received a cuddly lavender teddy bear.
At Wednesday’s assembly we were entertained, firstly, by 1B and the Teddy Bears’ Picnic song. The children then said prayers, thanking God for the ways that teddy bears make them feel and how they, as children, can do the same for others. A volunteer from the Leukaemia Foundation informed the students about what leukaemia is, how it affects people and how they cure it. The talk was informative and hope filled.

The Prep and Year One students then participated in four activities: bear masks, bear hunt, edible bear cars and an activity booklet. Thank you to the parents and grandparents who came along to spend some time with the children and help them through the activities.
A huge thank you goes to one of parents for decorating and the P and F for donating our teddy bear cake - your talent is extraordinary. The children loved it!

On behalf of the Leukaemia Foundation, we would like to thank everyone who contributed financially to the fundraising aspect of this day, through a donation, entry into a competition or the purchase of badges.
