Well what an action packed few weeks we have had to start Term 2. Our school Cross Country saw a great participation by all year levels and a marvellous result by Mackillop (Yellow) house in securing the overall championship points. Last Friday our Bramble Bay selected runners all put in a fantastic effort at St Paul's Bald Hills. As a team we came 7th overall out of 23 schools which for a school of our size is a sterling effort. There were some fantastic individual results from Lucas Bain, Angus McKenna, Jess Mahon and Alira Dai. A special mention must go to Alira Dai in the Under 9 Girls who came first in her 2km race by a significant margin and then backed it up again on Saturday in the QLD All Schools Cross Country in which she finished 7th in the Under 9 Girls out of 80 competitors. Well Done Alira!

Our gala sports teams have begun with our Rugby League Touch and Tag teams enjoying their training sessions immensely. The session was run professionally with the students being active the entire time. It was a fun way to learn the skills of rugby league. The boys were a little disappointed that their teams were called the Dragons and the Titans and not the Broncos, but after the initial disappointment they were able to participate in the activities with spirit. These training sessions continue this week then the following week they will commence their games. This programme ends on Thursday 16 June culminating in Gala day.
