National Sorry Day

This is an Australia-wide observance held on May 26 each year. The day gives people the chance to come together and share the steps towards healing for the Stolen Generations, their families and communities. Stolen generations refer to Indigenous Australians who were forcibly removed from their families and communities. On Wednesday morning, Year 6 provided a moving and thought provoking prayer assembly as reflection upon this day. The presence of thought and prayer in the hall was truly amazing. The moments of reflection provided by our classes leading prayer assembly are a true example of nurturing the prayer life of our community.
