This term, Year 4 are being wonderful caretakers of creation. Each class has their
own tank of tadpoles that they are caring for and studying their growth. The
tadpoles will grow into striped marsh frogs which are native to coastal Eastern
Australia. They arrived as eggs and have already grown into tadpoles. Later in
the term, the students will use their design skills to create pontoons for the
frogs to use.
Our Year 4 students are also enhancing their coding and programming skills with the introduction of Makey Makey. The students create a code on their laptop to make something happen. They then connect their motherboard and circuits to shift the controls from the keyboard to an external product. It is really exciting to hear of the great ideas the students are creating in Year 4 at the moment.
