Japanese Day 2016

The last day of term on Friday 16th September is our annual Japanese Day. The theme this year is Mini Olympics. Sushi treats will be on sale and there will be a performance by the Taiko Drummers.
Each student will receive their own HACHIMAKI, a Japanese headband in their house colours, worn as a symbol of perseverance, effort and courage. It is worn on many occasions, in particular when participating in a sporting competition. Students will participate in a variety of different events and challenges, competing for their team to win the LOTE MINI OLYMPICS CUP.
In the afternoon session, students will gather together in the Multipurpose Hall for the traditional annual Japanese dance and presentation of medals and trophy. It is shaping up to be a fun filled cultural day!
