Australian Author Visits

The Australian author Mark Greenwood from Western Australia visited St Kevin’s on Wednesday for a terrific presentation to Years 4, 5 and 6. He is a great storyteller and had everyone captivated and engaged for the whole session. We are familiar with many of his books and it was interesting to hear the inspiration behind many of these stories. As he related his stories he kept us in suspense so we all need to read the books to find out the endings. He even produced a replica of Ned Kelly’s sash made by his mother, complete with blood stains and mothballs!! After the session Mark Greenwood signed all of his books in our collection as well as posed for photographs with students. He was very generous with his time and we appreciate the way he presented historical events and details in such a fascinating and enthusiastic way.
